The committee and the Mayor of Padang Panjang, Fadly Amran, discussed the preparations for the poet's meeting, Friday (18/3/2022) night. It is estimated that 250 poets from 6 countries in Southeast Asia, including poets from Indonesia will attend Padang Panjang
Reportedly, the six countries that are confirmed to be present at the poet's meeting are Malaysia, Thailand, Bruneidarussalam, Singapore, Tomir Leste, Indonesia, including poets from West Sumatra.
Fadly Amran also requested that all preparations be carried out properly. Starting from the committee, the place of implementation, lodging for the poets who will later come to the city of Padang Panjang.

Head of the Library and Archives Service, Yan Kas Bari, SE said his party would maximize preparations for the implementation of this activity. In the near future, a technical meeting will be held with the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) and the Education Office, which will be chaired directly by the mayor.
This meeting of poets will be collaborated with the 232nd anniversary of the City (HJK) of Padang Panjang.
The Steering Committee of the Poet Meeting II, Dr. Sulaiman Juned, M.Sn said that this activity was a moment that was eagerly awaited by local and foreign poets.
