This was conveyed by the number one person in West Sumatra, after enjoying the beauty of the underwater world in the Mentawai Islands, precisely at Awera Beach, Bungo Rayo waters conservation area, Sisiakang Island, Sipora, Monday 7 March 2022.
For more than an hour, the governor enjoyed views of coral reefs with a variety of colorful ornamental fish in an area not far from the Sipora harbor pier.
Previously, the governor was given directions by professional divers who accompanied him. Among them are from UNP Diving, UBH Diving, Padang Diving, and national diving instructors Mabruri Tanjung and Basarnas Mentawai.
"Alhamdulillah, with the guidance of my divers, I was able to see the natural beauty under the sea in the Mentawai Islands. The fish are friendly and tame. The nature is so incredibly beautiful, colorful fish and I also saw sea cucumbers. we take care and take good care of it," said Buya Mahyeldi, after diving.
"This can't be done this time, it has to be rescheduled. Anyway, it's hard to tell. This is my first diving experience as deep and so far. The depth is approximately 8 meters," said Buya Mahyeldi.
Buya also invites divers and marine lovers to come to Mentawai to enjoy nature and its very special marine potential.
After the dive, the governor together with the Regent of Mentawai Yudas Sabbagalet and divers from various communities, together vowed to save the ocean with the motto "Save the Ocean, Save Life" and "Clean Sea, Mentawai Shines."
